When Life Hands You Lemons, Throw ‘Em At Somebody

by Southern Patriot

The old saying is, When one door closes, another one opens.” I recently had that experience. I was speaking with a friend this week about video posting options. Shortly afterwards that same evening, I was uploading some videos to YouTube.

At 99% of file 6 of 6, the upload timed out. I went to repost that clip and discovered that my account was permanently deleted. I was a bit angered about this, but, this is the fourth time in 2 years YT has kicked me off, so I wasn’t surprised.

It seems I am always in violation of one copyright or another. So, I have become used to YouTube’s nonsense. It was funny that less than 2 hours prior I had been discussing getting away from YT, so the door to a new opportunity had opened before I needed it. Life can be funny that way. But it is still an aggravation none the less.

The next morning, during my hour+ drive to work, I saw that my area was being bombarded by low level chemtrailing. So as I rode along, I put my camera up to the windshield or the side glass and snapped some pictures. As I approached my destination, the chemtrails increased, and I continued to photograph. As I was doing so, I was also watching the cars whiz by on the interstate and I begin to think.

I’m thinking that I can be fairly certain most of these people I see, some every morning, haven’t a clue as to what is going on in Copenhagen right now. They are blissfully unaware of the fate that lies ahead in their not to distant future. That by this time next year, Christmas, as they know it, will be like some sort of wonderful dream.

I guess I was feeling a bit of anger at YT and the chemtrails above me. I began questioning my mission. My mission? The same as the rest of us. To awaken family, friends and total strangers to the tyranny closing in around us. I thought of all the hours spent researching and reading documents, sending out mass e-mails, campaigning for Ron Paul, etc.

I began to feel like I was wasting my time. Nobody cares. I’m just the village idiot, the guy in the tin-foil hat. Bottom line, I had become discouraged.

But, this tale does have a bright spot.

I stopped at a local supermarket for some stuff for work. As I came out of the store, I was stopping and snapping more pictures. Because, no matter how discouraged I was, one of my missions for the past 18 months was documenting chemtrail activity in my area. It is like an obsession.

As I approached my truck, I heard a voice say, “Excuse me sir.” I looked to see a lady about my age walking toward me. She had some pamphlets in her hand. I am a very approachable person and will talk to anyone. But no I thought, not today.

She walked up, and wanted to share some Jehovah’s Witness material with me. She then asked me what I was taking pictures of.

I looked up and said, “Your government at work.” She didn’t understand, so I proceeded to educate her on chemtrails, and the dangers of this activity. I explained to her the agenda of manipulation of weather to further the “climate change” agenda in order to form a world government. She replied, “That sounds like globalization.” I was shocked. You could have knocked me over with a fender. She stated that she didn’t know anything about Copenhagen, but I could see by the look in her eyes that she was clearly interested. So I explained briefly what Obama’s role in Copenhagen would do to the U.S. We must have talked about 20 minutes. I was shivering my backside off as it was one of the coldest mornings in this area of southeast Georgia I had seen so far (so much for global warming), but I was so excited to share the truth with this stranger. We finally parted company and I headed off to work.

But now, I felt exhilarated. I saw the planting of a seed that began to grow right before my eyes. I may never see this lady again, but she will never be the same again. I gave her my business card and told her to e-mail me if she wanted to know anything else.

The point of all this is, that we who have been spreading the truth for a while, do get discouraged from time to time. But, if we hold out and stick to our guns, we can prevail. We are making a difference one mind at a time. And although that person may forget us and we them, they will always remember that “somebody told me that, they were telling me the truth. That makes it all worthwhile. That is what keeps us going.

Like my friend said to me, God will nudge us to do the right thing. If we’re paying attention, we too are blessed.

ACTA Seeks To Control The Internet

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Holy Cow Batman! Back in April, Michael Geist’s article, “The ACTA Threat To the Future of WIPO” shed some light on the Anti-counterfeiting Trade Agreement negotiations and the controversy generated by the near-total lack of transparency.

Early negotiations were held in secret locations with each participating country offering near-identical cryptic press releases that did little more than fuel public concern.

Further highlights from Geist’s article:

“The ACTA details have come from two sources - a growing number of internet-based leaks and the governments themselves. The leaks began in early February, with blog postings and online references to specific draft language. With the cat seemingly out of the bag, the negotiating countries released a six-page summary earlier this month that confirmed much of the online speculation.

The proposed treaty has six main chapters: (1) Initial Provisions and Definitions; (2) Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights; (3) International Cooperation; (4) Enforcement Practices; (5) Institutional Arrangements; and (6) Final Provisions.

Most of the discussion to date has centred on the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights chapter, which is divided into four sections - civil enforcement, border measures, criminal enforcement, and the Internet. The first three sections were addressed in meetings last year. Although there is still considerable disagreement on the final text, leaked documents indicate that the draft includes increased damage awards, mandated information disclosure that could conflict with national privacy laws, as well as the right to block or detain goods at the border for up to one year.

Moreover, the criminal provisions go well beyond clear cases of commercial infringement by including criminal sanctions such as potential imprisonment for “significant wilful copyright and trademark infringement even where there is no direct or indirect motivation of financial gain.”

Jail time for non-commercial infringement will generate considerable opposition, but it is the internet provisions that are likely to prove to be the most controversial. At the December meeting in Paris, the US submitted a “non-paper” that discussed internet copyright provisions, liability for internet service providers, and legal protection for digital locks.”

Right… this is a “Trade Agreement” to keep an eye on.

CmdrTaco posted the following on Slashdot,

“Jamie found a Boing Boing story that will probably get your blood to at least a simmer. It says

“The internet chapter of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, a secret copyright treaty whose text Obama’s administration refused to disclose due to ‘national security’ concerns, has leaked. It’s bad.”

You can read the original leaked document or the summary. If passed, the internet will never be the same. Thank goodness it’s hidden from public scrutiny for National Security.”

Personally, I agree with James Love over at the Huffington Post, “ACTA — A Patriot Act For the Internet.”

The most interesting highlights from Geist’s November article, “ACTA Negotiations, Day Two: What’s On Tap

“Moreover, the provisions would pave the way for a globalized three-strikes and you’re out system, as ISP safe harbours would be premised on policies to terminate subscribers in appropriate circumstances.

It is worth highlighting the ongoing criminal provisions as well. As previously leaked, the U.S. and Japan supplied the initial text for this chapter. Their proposal included:

  • extend criminal enforcement to both (1) cases of a commercial nature; and (2) cases involving significant willful copyright and trademark infringement even where there is no direct or indirect motivation of financial gain. In other words, non-commercial infringement could lead to criminal penalties
  • each country would be required to establish a laundry list of penalties - including imprisonment - sufficient to deter future acts of infringement. The specific proposed language was “include sentences of imprisonment as well as monetary fines sufficiently high to provide a deterrent to future acts of infringement, consistent with a policy of removing the monetary incentive of the infringer.”
  • trafficking in fake packaging for movies or music would become a criminal act. The fake packaging provision provided:

Each Party shall provide for criminal procedures and penalties to be applied, even absent willful trademark counterfeiting or copyright or related rights piracy, at least in cases of knowing trafficking in:
(a) counterfeit labels affixed to, enclosing, or accompanying, or designed to be affixed to, enclose, or accompany the following:
(i) a phonogram,
(ii) a copy of a computer program or other literary work,
(iii) a copy of a motion picture or other audiovisual work,
(iv) documentation or packaging for such items; and
(b) counterfeit documentation or packaging for items of the type described in subparagraph (a); and
(c) illicit labels affixed to, enclosing, or accompanying, or designed to be affixed to, enclose, or accompany items of the type described in subparagraph (a).

  • Criminalization of unauthorized camcording:

Each Party shall provide for criminal procedures and penalties to be applied against any person who, without authorization of the holder of copyright or related rights in a motion picture or other audiovisual work, knowingly uses an audiovisual recording device to transmit or make a copy of or transmits to the public the motion picture or other audiovisual work, or any part thereof, from a performance of the motion picture or other audiovisual work in a motion picture exhibition facility open to the public.”

Thank you Michael Geist for keeping us up to date with this sleazy “Treaty.”

Snitch switch: Turn tables on Obama rat patrol

Tell president where you stand on socialized medicine

© 2009 WorldNetDaily

The White House calls it an effort to root out “disinformation.” Critics call it “Chicago thug politics” and “totalitarian tactics.”

“It” is the Obama administration’s call for Americans to snitch on their neighbors by e-mailing to the White House any communications they receive “about health insurance reform that seem fishy.”

The desperation move by Obama, who has staked the “success” of his presidency on nationalizing another 17 percent of the nation’s economy – America’s gigantic health care industry – comes in the wake of poll after poll saying Americans are scared and outraged over what they’re hearing about “Obamacare.” (The August edition of WND’s monthly Whistleblower magazine, titled “MEDICAL MURDER,” is devoted entirely to exploring Obama’s proposed health care takeover.)

Unfortunately, the administration’s response to increasing public furor over Obamacare – whether expressed at townhall meetings with congressmen, or just by communicating with each other over the Internet – is to attempt to thwart free speech and squelch dissent. But WND is providing a way to fight fire with fire. Sign the WND petition against socialized medicine and against these Big Brother tactics of intimidation. Stand up boldly and proclaim your dissent. Make the enemies list so big, retribution and intimidation will be meaningless.

John Cornyn, R-Texas, has demanded that Obama either halt the program, widely known in the blogosphere as the “snitch” program, or define how he will protect the privacy of those who send or are the subject of e-mails to the flag@whitehouse.gov e-mail address.

“I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White house for pure political speech that is deemed ‘fishy’ or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests,” the Texas senator wrote in a letter to Obama.

“By requesting that citizens send ‘fishy’ e-mails to the White House, it is inevitable that the names, e-mail addresses, IP addresses, and private speech of U.S. citizens will be reported … You should not be surprised that these actions taken by your White House staff raise the specter of a data collection system.”

The White House announcement cited “opponents” of health care reform who may “find the truth a little inconvenient.”

“Scary chain e-mails and videos are starting to percolate on the Internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to ‘uncover’ the truth about the president’s health insurance reform positions,” the website says.

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain e-mails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an e-mail or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov,” the White House instructed.

Mathew Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, said,

“I am shocked and dismayed that Barack Obama’s White House is now monitoring e-mail traffic nationwide if it opposes his government takeover of healthcare.”

Staver’s organization already has analyzed the health care plan, and confirmed it contains health care rationing, a national health ID card complete with government access to personal bank accounts, government decisions on what health care benefits are available and mandatory taxpayer support for abortion.

Radio talk show icon Rush Limbaugh also chastised the president.

“Well, I would hate to see what they’re going to get now at flag@whitehouse.gov. I wonder what kind of e-mails they’re going to get now. They’re looking for tattletales; they’re looking for snitches; they’re looking for informants; they want their groupies to tattle on you if you happen to be telling the truth about what’s in the health care plan. The White House has, as yet, offered no explanation of what it is they plan to do with the tips on policy opposition they hope to receive from citizen informers.”

Cornyn also told the president he wanted to know “what action you intend to take against citizens who have been reported.”

Further, “Do your own past statements qualify as ‘disinformation’? For example, is it ‘disinformation’ to note that in 2003 you said, ‘I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer universal health care plan’?” Cornyn wrote.

WND reported earlier when Staver condemned the health plan as worse than China’s mandatory one-child policy.

The Liberty Counsel analysis said under Section 1308, the government will dictate marriage and family therapy as well as mental health services, including the definitions of those treatments, and under Section 1401, a Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research would be set up, creating a bureaucracy through which federal employees could determine whether any treatment is “comparatively effective” for any individual based on the cost, likely success and probably the years left in life.

It also, according to Staver, “covers abortions, transsexual surgeries, encourages counseling as to how many children you should have, whether you should increase the interval between children.”

The Liberty Counsel analysis also pointed out the government would be allowed to ration health care procedures, prevent “judicial review” of its decision, tell doctors what income they can have, impose new taxes for anyone not having an “acceptable” coverage, regulate whether seniors can have wheelchairs, penalize hospitals or doctors whose patients require “readmission,” prevent the expansion of hospitals and set up procedures for home visits by health care analysts.

Under Section 440, Liberty Counsel said, the government “will design and implement Home Visitation Program for families with young kids and families that expect children.” And Section 194 provides for a program that has the government “coming into your house and teaching/telling you how to parent,” LC said.

Petition Obama and Congress

“The government is spending taxpayers’ hard-earned money employing a snitch czar,” said WND Editor Joseph Farah. “Let’s save some of that tax money by saving them the trouble and letting our supposed public servants know, in no uncertain terms, that Americans by the millions do not want socialized medicine. Every other nation that has adopted this system has paid a terrible price. We don’t want to follow in their footsteps and end up rationing and denying care to the very people who need it most – the elderly and the very ill. Yet that is always what happens with socialized medicine.”

Thus, WND hereby introduces a new petition: Let the White House and Congress know exactly what you think of socialized medicine in the U.S.A.!

Here’s the petition wording:

PETITION DEMANDING THAT THE PRESIDENT AND CONGRESS STOP TRYING TO FORCE SOCIALIZED MEDICINE ON AMERICA

To: The President of the United States, The Congress of the United States

Whereas, wherever government-run health care, or socialized medicine, has been adopted it has led to severe rationing – which means outright denial – of life-saving medical treatment, particularly to the elderly and very ill (for example, British seniors, under their government-run system, are routinely denied treatment for cancer, heart disease and other deadly illnesses);

Whereas, Obama’s “special adviser for health policy,” Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Rahm Emanuel, is a longtime advocate of “age-weighted medical rationing” – meaning, the older you are, the less care you get, just like the British system;

Whereas, Barack Obama, Barney Frank and other top federal officials have explicitly and publicly stated their ultimate goal is a “single-payer” health care system – that is, completely socialized, with no private insurance – despite their claims now to the contrary;

Whereas, despite repeated assurances by Obama that “if you’re happy with your current insurance or doctor, you can keep it under my plan,” his plan would inevitably and intentionally drive private insurance out of business, leaving only the government to oversee Americans’ health care and approve their treatment;

Whereas, as columnist Charlotte Allen explained in the Los Angeles Times, “In looking for a way to fund healthcare, Obama has set his eye on the oldest and sickest. … About 30 percent of Medicare spending – nearly $100 billion annually – goes to care for patients during their last year of life. What if there were no ‘last year of life,’ the president seems to be asking. … [W]hy not save billions of dollars by killing off our own unproductive oldsters and terminal patients, or – since we aren’t likely to do that outright in this, the 21st century – why not simply ensure that they die faster by denying them costly medical care? The savings could then subsidize care for the younger and healthier”;

Whereas, Obama himself admitted during a June town hall event televised by ABC News that one way to cut medical costs would be to stop expensive procedures on people about to die, saying: “Maybe you’re better off not having the surgery, but taking the painkiller”;

Whereas, the government’s own nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office says Obamacare will increase the government’s already obscene level of deficit spending by hundreds of billions of dollars;

Whereas, a federal government takeover of the entire health care delivery system is in flagrant violation of the U.S. Constitution:

SIGN THE PETITION

We, the undersigned, assert our rights as citizens of the United States in demanding that the Obama administration and Congress stop referring to normal, law-abiding, taxpaying citizens who oppose government’s attempted takeover of medical care as a “mob”; that it cease and desist using Chicago thug political tactics in an attempt to intimidate citizens from exercising their First Amendment free speech right; and most of all, that it abandon its plan to utterly destroy America’s health care system, which is the envy of the world, and to replace it with a system that has failed miserably in every country in which it has been adopted.

If you agree with the above and are outraged at Obama’s Big Brother-style intimidation approach to achieving his long-time goal of socialized medicine, don’t wait for some snitch to turn you in. Be bold. Be courageous. Be an American. Sign this petition and let Obama know you oppose his diabolical plan to become doctor-in-chief.

As soon as the petition gains its first 25,000 names, WND will forward the petition to the White House and Congress, and each time another 25,000 sign, they’ll be forwarded too.

This is not a time to cower in fear, but to let your government know in overwhelming numbers that you oppose what will, unquestionably, be the destruction of the best health care system in the entire world.

Rockefeller: Internet is “Number One National Hazard”

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

By YouDeserveToKnow

According to the great-grandson John D. Rockefeller, nephew of banker David Rockefeller, and former Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman, Jay Rockefeller, the internet represents a serious threat to national security. Rockefeller is not alone in this assessment. His belief that the internet is the “number one national hazard” to national security is shared by the former Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell and Obama’s current director Admiral Dennis C. Blair.

“It really almost makes you ask the question would it have been better if we had never invented the internet,” Rockefeller mused during the confirmation hearing of Gary Locke (see video), Obama’s choice for Commerce Secretary. He then cites a dubious figure of three million cyber “attacks” launched against the Department of Defense every day. “Everybody is attacked, anybody can do it. People say, well it’s China and Russia, but there could be some kid in Latvia doing the same thing.”

Jay Rockefeller’s comments reveal an astounding degree of ignorance - or if not ignorance, outright propaganda. Since the September 11, 2001, attacks the government has cranked up the fear quotient in regard to cyber attacks and so-called cyber terrorism, a virtually non-existent threat except in the minds security experts and politicians. In the years since the attacks, not one real instance of real cyberterrorism has been recorded.

“Cyberattacks on critical components of the national infrastructure are not uncommon, but they have not been conducted by terrorists and have not sought to inflict the kind of damage that would qualify as cyberterrorism,” writes Gabriel Weimann, author of Terror on the Internet. “Nuclear weapons and other sensitive military systems, as well as the computer systems of the CIA and FBI, are ‘air-gapped,’ making them inaccessible to outside hackers. Systems in the private sector tend to be less well protected, but they are far from defenseless, and nightmarish tales of their vulnerability tend to be largely apocryphal.”

“Psychological, political, and economic forces have combined to promote the fear of cyberterrorism,” Weimann continues. “From a psychological perspective, two of the greatest fears of modern time are combined in the term ‘cyberterrorism.’ The fear of random, violent victimization blends well with the distrust and outright fear of computer technology.”

“The sky is not falling, and cyber-weapons seem to be of limited value in attacking national power or intimidating citizens,” notes James Lewis of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Such a threat is overblown, Lewis explains. He notes that “a brief review suggests that while many computer networks remain very vulnerable to attack, few critical infrastructures are equally vulnerable.”

In other words, Rockefeller’s example of a kid in Latvia with a laptop posing a serious “hazard” to national security is little more than sensationalistic propaganda.

So-called cyber terrorists are far less of a threat than government. China and Australia have recently imposed draconian censorship on internet freedom. Brazil, Denmark, Canada, Finland, Ireland , Italy, Israel, the United Kingdom, the United States, and many other countries also impose nominal censorship on internet freedom. Urgent calls to restrict the medium in various ways through legislation and government action have increased over the last few years (for more detail, see Internet Censorship: A Comparative Study).
However, the real threat to internet freedom is currently posed by IT and ISP corporations, not the government.

As Alex Jones explained last June, large corporate ISPs are now in the process of imposing bandwidth caps and routing traffic over their networks and blocking certain targeted websites. For instance, in 2005 AOL Time-Warner was caught blocking access to all of Jones’ flagship websites across the entire United States. Other instances of outright censorship include the UK ISP Tiscali blocking subscribers from reaching material on the 7/7 London bombings and Google’s continued and habitual censorship of 9/11 material and Alex Jones’ films on the ever-popular YouTube. There are many other instances as well (see, Google Admits Censorship).

The PTB cannot stand the fact that they cannot control the internet. The cat is out of the bag. “They” can no longer control the masses with mainstream media propaganda. “They” have been exposed and can no longer keep the crimes they’ve committed hidden.

Cyber attacks is just one of their many lame excuses to attempt to justify trying to put the cat back in the bag… Yeah, good luck with that - NOT.

You Tube Pulls Hundreds Of Ron Paul Videos

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

By Paul Joseph Watson

You Tube has expanded its zealous copyright crusade by suspending the popular C-Span Junkie user channel, and in doing so has pulled hundreds of viral Ron Paul videos, which are now completely dead.

The C-Span Junkie user channel, a non-partisan archive of short clips taken from C-Span broadcasts of events in the Congress and the Senate, has been the home of the vast majority of You Tube videos you have seen of Bernanke, Geithner, Paulson and others being confronted in Congress, as well as Ron Paul’s speeches on the House floor. A total of more than 6400 videos in all have been pulled, hundreds of which featured the Texan Congressman.

Whether or not C-Span itself requested that You Tube pull the channel is not known, but it is clearly in the public interest and constitutes fair use to show a clip less than 10 minutes in length of what the people who are supposedly our Representatives are saying in Congress on our behalf.

As we have highlighted before, You Tube arbitrarily suspends accounts based on flimsy copyright claims that aren’t even properly investigated.

We had our own You Tube account suspended following a copyright complaint from a separate party who didn’t even own the copyright on the original material. In addition, the copyright claim was clearly erroneous as it was based on the fact that Alex Jones held up a printed version of an online newspaper story for a few seconds on camera. The channel was eventually reinstated after You Tube received a flood of complaints.

“I don’t know if you can imagine what it’s like to in a moment see 6400 videos gone,” writes the channel owner on the C Span Junkie website, “Figure 6400 hours (easily) poof GONE! I did this for the common good and now it all gone.”

The channel has now been replaced with a new account but it’s unlikely to survive long if the owner dares to post anything of substance.

Truth is no longer acceptable on You Tube as it transforms itself into a pale reflection of Hulu, a site owned and operated by NBC Universal (GE) and Fox Entertainment Group (News Corp), that is to say a joint venture by a corporation owned by a death merchant (GE manufactures attack helicopters and jet engines) and a disinformation platform owned by a notorious neocon, Rupert Murdoch.

In the Hulu-ized universe, there is no room for truth or alternative media — all channels will contain the same schlock and mindless pablum already available on cable and broadcast television.

Videos of members of Congress grilling Bernanke and his cohorts about auditing the Fed and finding out where trillions in missing TARP funds has disappeared to just aren’t part of the sanitized and lobotomized video landscape that You Tube wants to portray.

If you post videos about people eating each other’s vomit or clips of plastic bimbos with their breasts hanging out then you’ll be left alone, but God forbid should anyone try to give the country a window on what’s actually happening in Congress and what their own Representatives are talking about – in that case your thought crimes will immediately be censored and removed.

Altered Search Engine Algorithms, Biased Google Staff. Internet Cyber-Attacks on Conservative Blogs/Websites

A National Resource and Public Corporation has been Compromised by an Extremely Politically Biased CEO. Other Internet Cyber-Attacks Being Attempted & Orchestrated by the Obots. Some Cloaked and Subtle. Some Not. Is Obama’s New Cyber/Internet Czar Actively or Passively Involved and Does He Know What is Going On to Shut Down Opponents of Obama on the Net?

25 July 2009 - Note from the moderator and contributors: A notice has been received from Google and Blogspot that this blog may be deleted in 20 days based on complaints (probably phony spamming and TOS violation charges filed by the Obots or concerns being passed down from the top itself). If this blog is taken down or deleted in the next few weeks, please move to the parallel/mirror blog which has copies of the posts posted here. It is located at: http://puzo1.wordpress.com/

Please make a note of that URL. However, do not post any new comments there at that site until such time as we have to abandoned this blog due to this obvious attempted harassment and censorship by Google and BlogSpot staff disguised and hiding behind the guise of it being anonymous unnamed “robots” having flagged and locked this blog. Note: Google’s CEO is a member of the Obama technology team and a major funds contributor to Obama. Google has changed their “robot” algorithms to protect Obama and are censoring and “sand boxing” conservative websites such as WorldNetDaily.com. See this post at WND.com for more details: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=104947

26 Jul 2009 - Update: The threat and warning message in the owner and moderator’s screens that this blog is being reviewed as a spam blog and if found to be so would be deleted in 20 days was addressed by Atty Apuzzo, the blog owner, and the warning message has now been removed.

31 Jul 2009 - Update: Denial of Service (DOS) attacks are being reported at various websites on the net which have been critical of Obama and his lack of eligibility under our Constitution to be the President. The official “TheBirthers.org” website was temporarily blocked for about 9 hours from access by normal users by a coordinated DOS attack late Thursday and early Friday. Others have reported similar attacks. We believe these DOS attacks are being orchestrated via ACORN and affiliated groups using “zombie programs” installed on the computers of 10s of thousands of their members nationwide and even worldwide (they have 1 million members outside the USA) and that these zombie sleeper codes in these thousands of computers are being controlled by a central “war room” operation operated by ACORN and/or the Obama campaign staff, which is still in operation, to engage in cyber-warfare against their current targets of interest. I believe they also engage paid and/or volunteer ACORN chapter members as bloggers who are turned loose on the internet when needed to flood conservative blogs or main stream media sites with trolling type messages in any blog where any a thread about the Obama eligitiblity issue is gaining traction or in the news. This internet war room, with its paid bloggers and 10s of thousands of zombie computers world wide, can then send out a simple internet coded command at any time at will to attack any website on the net at any given time with massive, overwhelming numbers of internet “page serve” requests, blog postings and attempts, or emails to block access to the site by normal users, and to cause servers to crash and to clog up email in boxes with robotically generated page serve requests and emails. Keep your firewalls and virus checkers up to date and report any DOS attacks to your ISP immediately and request they report it to law enforcement and/or report it yourself directly to the FBI cyber crimes unit for investigation. I believe ACORN and all its affilations and “cousins” should be investigated under the RICO laws. and under international criminal conspiracy crime laws.

WND being censored from search engines?

Obama birth certificate links buried on Google News site

By Drew Zahn

On a story that no news organization has followed more closely than WND – questions surrounding Barack Obama’s birth certificate – one of the Internet’s top news portals, Google News, is now placing dozens of sources and even left-leaning blogs higher in the search rankings than WND.

So appears to be Bing, the new Google competitor.

Weeks ago, when WND was one of the few sources for news information about President Obama’s eligibility controversy, a search for “Obama birth certificate” on Google News would have produced dozens of WND story links.

Today, however, typing in “Obama birth certificate” and sorting by relevance leads to a long list of links apparently deemed more “relevant” than WND’s coverage.

Even clicking to open the top package of stories under “all news articles,” any article from WND takes a while to find. Instead, four of the top five stories listed are from the left-leaning Huffington Post. The sixth story is from the Los Angeles Times, titled “How to really shut up the Obama ‘birthers.’”

Clicking on the related blogs section further shows that 12 of the 18 listed entries are from the “progressive” websites Huffington Post and Daily Kos.

Sorting the main page’s results by relevance, the first mention of a WND story on Obama’s birth certificate is a column by WND Editor Joseph Farah, listed on the fourth page of results; and the first news story is an article dated July 19, found on the fourth page of results.

WND even posted a fresh story – while this article was being written – about Obama’s birth certificate and containing the key words “Obama birth certificate,” but rather than appearing among the most “relevant” stories on Google News, it appears on the fifth page of search results.

Farah will be on Michael Savage’s radio program today to discuss what he calls “a broad pattern of Internet search engine censorship” that began today by Google, Bing and others blocking WND’s extensive coverage of questions surrounding Barack Obama’s eligibility for office.

“In more than 12 years of Internet experience, I have never seen anything like this,” said Farah. “As of today, all the major search engines systematically began scrubbing our content. This happened at the very moment this story broke into the mainstream.”

“Just like the major media outlets banned our billboard campaign, now the major Internet monopolies are banning our content on this issue,” Farah said. “It is an outrage in a supposedly free society.”

WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama’s status as a “natural born citizen.” The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama’s American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama’s citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

Complicating the situation is Obama’s decision to spend sums estimated in the hundreds of thousands of dollars to avoid releasing a state birth certificate that would put to rest all of the questions.

The question over Obama’s eligibility now also is being raised on billboards nationwide.

The billboard campaign follows an ongoing petition campaign launched several months ago by WND Editor and Chief Executive Officer Joseph Farah.

The billboards are intended to raise public awareness of the fact that Obama has never released the standard “long-form” birth certificate that would show which hospital he was born in, the attending physician and establish that he truly was born in Hawaii, as his autobiography maintains. Hawaiian officials have said they have seen that document; but a recent report on the Lou Dobbs show on CNN said in a directly conflicting statement that Hawaiian officials said the document was destroyed.

Over the last few days, other media outlets have picked up on the story, particularly in the wake of Dobbs’ on-air discussions of the issue, leading to a wide variety of links on news portals like those through search engines Google, Yahoo and Bing.

What’s unclear, however, is how the search engines sort by “relevance.”

Searching “Obama birth certificate” on Yahoo’s news portal brings up WND links on the first page of results, though the newest stories are still several pages into the search results. Microsoft’s new Bing engine doesn’t list WND articles at all. And until recently, WND’s stories were considered among the most “relevant” by Google News, but are now buried in the results pages.

Even sorting the articles by date rather than relevance, to accommodate for the recent surge in media attention on the birth certificate issue, shows the Google News engine not keeping up-to-date on WND’s articles.

The first WND article to appear when searching for “Obama birth certificate” comes on the 19th page of results: a July 20 article, even though WND ran a story and an update on the issue on July 22.

Refining the search to seek out WND specifically reveals the results one would expect, with WND’s articles coming right to the top, so Google News hasn’t omitted WND completely, as MSN’s Bing has. Searching “Obama eligibility” also brings WND articles to the forefront when sorted both by relevance and by date.

For unknown reasons, however, the Google News search engine is assigning dozens of news sources and blogs more “relevance” than WND on the issue of Obama’s birth certificate.

WND requests for comment from Google and others did not generate a response.

WND previously reported on claims by Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs that Google had banned her articles about Obama’s birth certificate through a technique many people refer to as “sandboxing.”

“There was no warning, no notice, nothing,” Geller told WND. “They have basically sandboxed me.”

“Sandboxing” happens when Google strips a website’s rankings from its search engine results.

Gellar told WND she believed her stories had been intentionally suppressed by the Internet giant – especially ones about President Obama. She said her exclusive stories about Obama’s birth certificate that once received thousands of hits every day stopped coming up in Google word searches.

“I was in the top five search results before the story got legs,” she said. “These stories drove 12,000 to 15,000 people to my site every day.”

But a November earnings report showed her Google clicks and revenue flat lined. Daily page impressions dropped from an average of 20,000 and 45,000 to single digits – overnight. Also, her Google images hits were slowed to only 4,720 since that day, while Yahoo and other search engines list them in the hundreds of thousands.

“The media gives blogs the silent treatment,” she said. “The only thing we have is these searches. The Google word search is gone – all gone. When you are in my business, that’s how you build readership.”

“I think that it’s the birth certificate story,” Geller told WND. “All of the sudden, my numbers were down by 10,000.”

WND also reported concerns from bloggers before the election in 2008 about possible efforts to squelch anti-Obama talk on Google’s Blogspot.com, after several blogs were flagged and locked.

Feds To Get Power To Target Websites Making “False Claims”

Tuesday, June 23rd, 2009

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com

The Federal Reserve refuses to disclose where trillions of dollars in bailout money went and yet the FTC is more concerned about snooping into the financial affairs of bloggers who make a few bucks off affiliate relationships, according to new guidelines set to be introduced later this year that would give the government a foot in the door to regulate and shut down blogs for making “false claims”.

“New guidelines, expected to be approved late this summer with possible modifications, would clarify that the agency can go after bloggers — as well as the companies that compensate them — for any false claims or failure to disclose conflicts of interest,” states an Associated Press report.

Furious that struggling families are supplementing their income by having housewives write blogs about cooking, or individuals posting political opinions and funding their operation by carrying affiliate links to Amazon books, the new FTC regulations would ensure that “Any type of blog could be scrutinized, not just ones that specialize in reviews,” according to the report.

The proviso that “any type of blog could be scrutinized” frames this assault on free speech in a wider context that just individuals making claims about products advertised on their websites.

The proposed guidelines (PDF) state that “deceptive speech is not protected by the First Amendment,” and that “The Supreme Court has repeatedly stated that the government can restrict, or even ban, such speech.” Of course, the issue of whether such speech is deceptive will be decided by the government itself.

The definition of “false claims” is so loose that it could hand the feds the power to shut down any website on a whim based on the flimsiest of pretexts. The AP report notes that the new guidelines would create a system to “patrol systematically what bloggers say and do online”.

As the Cryptogon website points out, in reality this has little to do with the FTC’s concern for fair business practices and everything to do with the government getting a foot in the door for their overarching agenda to regulate and control blogs and free speech on the Internet.

“What has happened is that bloggers have blown the support columns out from underneath traditional media and the people who run the show don’t like that.”

“The fact that some of us are able to survive by maintaining blogs must have come as an incredible shock to fat bastards in boardrooms across the land. That we are not “regulated” is unthinkable in the Soviet hive mind that governs the political economy of the United States.”

This is all about creating a chilling atmosphere and preventing people from creating their own websites by establishing a mountain of red tape and bureaucracy around the currently simple process of writing and maintaining a blog.

The ultimate endgame is to mimic the Chinese Internet system of total government regulation and censorship via the implementation of a registration process whereby every blogger will be assigned a number and given permission to blog by the government. If the blogger expresses an opinion deemed unsavory by the authorities then their registration credentials will be terminated and their ability to login to their own blog will be removed.
